Page experience is a set of signals that measure how users perceive the experience of interacting with a web page beyond its pure informational value. It includes Core Web Vitals, which is a set of metrics that measure real-world user experience for loading performance, interactivity, and visual stability of the page.
WebSite Auditor reports on the performance of your pages on both mobile and desktop devices, and provides suggestions on how each page may be improved in terms of Page Speed and performance to make sure your website's pages pass the Core Web Vitals assessment successfully.
Google's Page Speed audit is based on two kinds of data from PageSpeed Insights:
To get the Page Speed data, you'll need to get the PageSpeed Insights API key first, and add it in your project settings:
Unlike most other tools, WebSite Auditor allows you to analyze the pages in bulk to see all the found issues, diagnostics and opportunities for your whole website.
To analyze the pages in bulk, you can go to the Pages module, select any pages, hit the Update Pages button and choose the Page Speed set of factors. To see the results, you can switch to the predefined Page Speed workspace or add any of the related columns to any of your custom workspaces. There are 5 categories the factors and metrics are divided into:
You can also select any page in the workspace and go to Page Speed tab in the bottom section to see the full audit of the page listing Diagnostics, Opportunities and Passed audits:
In the Site Audit dashboard, you can find all the core factors (audits) listed in the Page Speed section. Upon clicking on any factor, you can see the section on the right with all the details:
You can choose whether you'd like to run the audit for mobile or desktop under Preferences > Page Speed Settings:
And re-run it anytime after changing the settings by updating Page Speed factors anew.
You can also analyze any of the pages separately to check their performance on both on mobile and desktop at once - under Page Audit > Technical Audit.
In the Mobile: Page Speed and Desktop: Page Speed sections, you'll find comprehensive insights for each page:
To update the analysis at any point, simply click the icon and choose the third option:
