Domain Competitors method in RankTracker allows you to discover your major SEO competitors. This can help you get a comprehensive picture and uncover the websites/pages you compete with for overall visibility across the SERPs.
To find the competitors, RankTracker will analyze the keywords your site/page ranks for, based on the data from our Keyword Index. Next, it will harvest the SERPs for your keywords and will serve the list of up to 100 URLs that have the highest keyword intersection with your site.
To start the search, go to Competitor Research > Domain Competitors.
Type in the domain/page URL for which you'd like to find the SEO competitors. Choose one of the available search modes:
Once the search is done, you'll see the table with the list of found competitors and a Summary widget above it.
The widget shows the total number of ranking keywords found for the target website/URL in SEO PowerSuite database, and the estimated number of visits it received through all the keywords over the last 30 days.
The graph on the right shows the distribution of organic traffic and the total keywords numbers across all found competitors, where the X-axis stands for keywords the competitor ranks for in Google, and the Y-axis shows the amount of traffic received by the competitor through the keywords over the last 30 days.
On-hover, you can see the stats for any visible competitor.
The table below lists your top SEO competitors (domains or exact URLs, depending on the search mode). For each competitor, you can see:
Right in the table, you can hover over any competitor to jump to the found domain/page or to add the site to Competitors under Preferences to track its rankings along in the given project.
Hovering over the magnifier icon allows you to jump to the full list of keywords:
Selecting and right-clicking on the competitor(s) will open the context menu that allows you to do pretty much same things, but also copy the selected data to Clipboard.
To sort the results, you can:
You may also use the Quick CSV Export button to export the currently visible data.
Once you're done with the search, you can change any search settings and run a new one. After closing the project, the module will be cleared out until a new search.
