WebSite Auditor is equipped with an in-built Content Editor module - a one-stop solution for on-page optimization, SEO copywriting, and competitive benchmarking.
The tool helps you maximize your existing pages' potential, create new SEO-friendly content from scratch, and check out optimization advice tailored for the page (based on what's working best for competitors across the SERPs!)
Find the module under Page Audit.
Jump to the Content Editor, and choose between two options:
In the field below, enter the list of keywords you will be targeting with the page. Hit Enter after each instance to add multiple words or phrases.
Enter the list of target keywords you'd like to Map to the page.
In the Keyword Map module, you can revise the list of keywords the page already ranks for - take those into consideration as well!
WebSite Auditor will parse the page or generate the URL, and then analyze the competitors ranking for your target keywords.
To start editing an existing page, you'll need to choose between Editing Modes:
Upon creating new content, Document mode will be used by default.
Targeting settings for the analysis can be tweaked at any point - simply click on the icon at the top right to open the context menu:
The results will be updated respectively.
The app goes through the Top 100 results for each of the mapped keywords, then harvests the top 30 pages with the highest level of keyword intersection and selects the top 10 from those for the current analysis.
Once the setup is done, the app will load the page as it is, or a blank document for your new content.
Two top fields will let you edit or enter the Meta Title and Meta Description tags:
The Text Editor is for your body text (the visible content itself). In the Document mode, you'll have the basic formatting features:
Turn to the dashboard on the right to see the overall Optimization Rate that's being calculated based on the current state of the content, and changes as-you-edit. See the impact of each change at a glance!
See your current content length (word count), and get alarmed in case it's way below min or above max of your competitors' content length
All of your target keywords will show up in the Mapped Keywords section in the chip fields:
Next to each keyword, you'll see the actual keyword count vs recommended. The recommendations are customizable - simply click on any chip to manually change the recommendation.
For your convenience, you can enable the Highlighting to see each keyword instance found on the page.
Highlight all or none, or click on particular keyword chips to instantly spot any keywords.
The Recommended Keywords section will list the keywords that have been extracted from the top-ranking pages of your competitors. As in the TF-IDF module, those are topically-relevant keywords used by a number of your SEO competitors across their pages.
Those can become a valuable addition to your content and can make up great semantic context to your main target keywords!
Same way, you can customize the recommendations, remove any keywords or all, add any keywords manually.
If you delete the Recommended Keywords accidentally or find some other intriguing keywords in the TF-IDF module directly, you're free to add the keywords right to the Recommended section manually:
Below the keywords sections, you'll see the full list of competitors' pages used for the current analysis.
With the new Content Editor, you can generate and download PDFs with detailed copywriting/rewriting guidelines:
Click Download PDF - and voila, you have a ready-made SEO-copywriting task to forward to your copywriters!
After you've analyzed a page or created a new piece, and optimized it to the full, you can:
You can also Clear formatting if you're working on an existing page and would like to reset it from browser to document view with no extra page elements and formatting/styling (it's irreversible though).
You can analyze however many pages in one project, and easily switch between those through the drop-down menu at the top left.
All the pages you are working on are being saved upon saving the project file.
If you delete an analyzed page from the Pages module under Site Structure - it will be deleted from Page Audit as well, along with all the mapped keywords and changes.
