We've run a huge data comparison study to see which solution provides deeper backlink analytics
and
the best value for money.
1) The biggest comparison to date. For this study, we'd purchased the API
keys
from each of the compared providers ($6,200 worth in total) and tested their data on 1
million
web's largest domains.
2) Data transparency. The raw data files are available for anyone to re-run
the
comparison. To verify that the data hasn't been modified

Pricing models with each data provider differ a lot, same as their pricing

The number of unique referring domains is considered one of the most objective ways

The number of backlinks is the second most important dataset to analyze. However,
this type of data is prone to inconsistences between different indexes, because
links are counted differently. For instance, you may calculate duplicate links on a
page as a single link or as multiple links. The same's true for redirects,
